Here is my latest Brookline Tab column, about a high school variety show I attended with Max. How lovely to sit there with him and laugh at what he thought was funny... It all goes so fast...
Love the article! I'm seeing some of that in my daughter, and she's only 10 (11 next month)! Just today I was humming in Walgreens and you'd have thought I was expelling something noxious. I have become a dork in her eyes when before I rocked her world. Ah well.
My young daughter, who used to squeal with delight at my corny jokes and silly dances, now cringes with embarrassment whenever I do something expressive – especially when her friends are around. At least she still lets me hold her hand in public... for now anyway.

The article was also nothing new.....you aren't hip anymore to your kids, get over it. Nothing worse than a mid-lifer trying to pull off teenage lingo too, please stop!

Hey Carolyn, You are NOT A DORK!!! Tell her I said so...
SA -- A daughter, eh? What school does she go to...?
Peer Model -- Why don't you put a comment on Max's blog? He'd love to hear from you!
Anon -- Oh snap! You flushed my toilet.
