I am waiting for feedback about my novel &#8212; I have completed a first draft, whoop-de-doo &#8212; and I have NO ideas. I sent a great piece to the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Washington Post <\/span>for Father&#8217;s Day but I think that they have blocked my email address. [Not really.] So I am going to spew out a list of my &#8220;favorite&#8221; top pet peeves (&#8220;peeves&#8221; is an awful word, perfect for an awful, irritating, nudgeball thing). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0088258\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1) Editors who don&#8217;t get back to me or who reject my stuff<br \/>2) Friends\/relatives who think they are editors but don&#8217;t know sh**<br \/>3) Being taken for granted<br \/>4) Summer fruit because I can&#8217;t eat it on Atkins<br \/>5) Field trips I don&#8217;t go on and feel guilty about<br \/>6)Breakfast shares and evening concerts and parent-teacher conferences<br \/>7) Failing ozone layer<br \/>8) My parents going on fantastic vacations and never taking me<br \/>9) Men\/boys who can&#8217;t communicate probably because they don&#8217;t even know what&#8217;s going on in their own heads\/hearts<br \/>10) No one new to flirt with &#8211; wish I didn&#8217;t need that<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am in the worst mood.
