{"id":2220,"date":"2011-11-10T07:07:48","date_gmt":"2011-11-10T12:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/susansenator.com\/blog\/?p=2220"},"modified":"2011-11-10T07:07:48","modified_gmt":"2011-11-10T12:07:48","slug":"new-ma-guide-to-transition-to-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/susansenator.com\/blog\/2011\/11\/new-ma-guide-to-transition-to-22\/","title":{"rendered":"New MA Guide to Transition to 22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My town&#8217;s special education director of out-of-district-placements sent me <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dlc-ma.org\/manual\/index.htm\">a new online guide to Transition in Massachusetts<\/a>, put together by the Disability Law Council, Massachusetts Advocates for Children, the Federation for Children with Special Needs, and Northeastern University School of Law.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dlc-ma.org\/manual\/index.htm\">A Transition Services Online Manual: <\/a><\/p>\n<p>(October 2011)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Basic Legal Rights\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2022 Forms\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2022 Resources\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2022 Video<\/p>\n<p>This Manual is written for parents and students who are advocating for<br \/>\nbetter transition services, including social, vocational and independent<br \/>\nliving skills.\u00a0 It is written in an easy-to-understand format but also<br \/>\ncontains \u201cEndnotes\u201d and an Appendix at the end of the Manual with legal<br \/>\ninformation for attorneys and experienced advocates.<\/p>\n<p>The Manual was edited by the Disability Law Center (DLC), in partnership<br \/>\nwith the Federation for Children with Special Needs, the Institute for<br \/>\nCommunity Inclusion, and Mass.
