It All Worked Out!

It all went well from start to finish. The moonbounce arrived when I came back from the gym, around 10, and it looked great, a huge monument to sports, with every kind of ball perched on top, sports cartoons decorating the sides, and a big inflatable scoreboard (home was winning, of course). Perfect for our family, eh? But Ben said, “Well the sports thing will attract more kids, though.” Little B!

And so it did. All told, we had around 10 boys at the party. The sun did come out, although it gave no warmth at all. But that did not matter: there was plenty of warmth from all the happy people there.

If the oven is a stand-alone thing, there are probably feet on it that are adjustable. (I remember feet like that on an oven ages ago.)

If it’s built-in, I have no idea how one would level it. (Our foundation is shifting a bit, we may have problems. As we mostly bake muffins, not cakes, I don’t think it’s as big a deal here.)

One other thing that might work is to rotate the pans 180 degrees partway through the baking. Just an untested idea.

1. Remove the kickplate if there is one. It may pop on and off or have 2 screws at the most.

2. Find a translucent glass pot or dish with a line for reference. Fill said pot to that line and put it on a rack in the oven.

3. Turn on the oven light.

4. Adjust the feet of the oven which will be on adjustment screws to change the hight of each of the front corners. You want the water to be level (right on the line all the way around).

More accurate instructions should be in the documentation that came with the oven.

Another good method is asking your husband to level the oven.
