More Than Just Getting Through It:
How Parents Make Peace With A Child’s Disability
This will be a book of in-depth, gripping interviews with parents of kids with disabilities, all issues, all ages. But told with the view of empowering parents to find happiness with the lives they have been given, from parents who have discovered a thing or two. With a little bit of me thrown in, but really, I hope to learn from all of you as I write this…

Reading the title was enough to make me cry. Beautiful. Can’t wait to read it (but can wait, this is not to cause you stress). Welcome home!
Ça marche!
Tres Bien.
Me gusto.
Welcome home, Susan! I got your message today…been in themiddle of a home reno project and chasing after Nik who decided that walking was really a good thing after all. (Check out the video link on my blog!)
School starts Wed so give me a few days to catch my breath and I’ll call you toward the end of the week, ok? Looking forward to the “gripping interview” part! Tee hee…
Loving it. Do it.
Yes Susan. That is the perfect title.
Fill in the blanks for those of us who muddle along trying to do the best we can, admitting that we get tired, cry, rage and cling to hope. Mainly, we just need reassurance.
Thank you for being so honest and transparent about your struggles. It makes all the difference in the world.
Hopefully Ned will remain sane too. It’s not an easy time at his/my company. Given that stress point and the struggle to parent a special needs child taint easy.
Glad you reworked it so you fit in easier with it. 🙂
Can’t wait to read it either. 😉
I think it’s fantastic!!
