And the winds swept through Colorado [Georgia]…
…NATTY! [SHERMAN!]
–Gone With The Wind
Day Eight: Back to Boston. We left Aspen and headed to Snowmass to pick up Nat from his camp. Each of the campers swung into view via a ropes course! When Nat finally disembarked, he got a lot of cheers and hugs. Fifteen hours later, we were home!

So proud of Nat! It made me teary-eyed to think of him arriving on the scene on that rope. How far he has come in the years and how wonderful that you took the chance to go on this vacation with the rest of the family, allowing you time to find each other again, and Nat time to develop some more self-confidence. It gives me great hope for my own son, only 8 y/o at this point, but sure to amaze me with great accomplishments in the future, just like Nat! So happy for you, Susan, to hear how happy you seem and that all of your hard work in preparing for the trip has been rewarded!
Wow, what a week! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Hiking and zip lines, that’s too cool. How was Nat on your arrival? Did he want to show you around? Does he want a zip line in the back yard? I do. Did he get so caught up in all the activities that he coasted through your absence or did he have some shaky times?
You all looked healthy and happy in all your tabloos. Glad you had fun?
Sweatin’ it out in NOLA.
I teared up and got a lump in my throat looking at the pictures of you holding hands with Nat and then the one of you hugging him. Those two pictures just touched my heart.
My little boy is still so young, but I hope with all my heart we can still have that kind of connection when he’s Nat’s age.
Great pictures, all 8 days’ worth! Now I want to go visit CO.
I can’t say it better than Sam’s mom… so I won’t try.
But I’m so glad you let do Nat do his thing and did it despite the back-and-forth guilt you had about it.
Glad to hear you are home. Ha, good luck with all that laundry, that is the worst part of coming back from vacation. 🙂 Oh yes, and having to get back in the normal routine. 🙂
