I loved how you ended the article. So glad he had a great time.
I can relate to your worst-case-scenario worrying and obsessing. Recently I’ve been up all night planning my son’s birthday party more than a month away. On a Google search for a cake with a swimming pool theme, I saw a picture of a cake you and Nat had made, with Lego men swimming… So cute.

Susan, I can so relate to your article. I too fret and worry about field trips, all the while the usually always capable teacher, parapros, or camp counselors looking at me like I’m nuts as I remind them again that Casey “darts”. And oddly, he is always ok. I’m guessing in my my case I don’t give him much credit! I am starting to believe he steps up to the plate so to speak when I’m not around doing everything for him!

Jack went to Canobie Lake Park for the very first time yesterday. He loved the log ride! Who knew…
As always, your writing is a gift. Thinking of you these days…
