What a lovely story! But I can’t help but wonder, what happens when John is ready to move on to the next phase of his life? Then I remember how many times I moved in my twenties, and I think, Well, Nat is in his twenties and that is a nomadic decade for most of us.

Hi Another mom. I wonder the same exact thing. Nothing lasts forever, of course. I will have to do my best, hopefully with John’s help, of finding another caregiver when the time comes. That’s what you gotta do. Sure, a group home always cycles in new staff but that’s part of the problem with it.

Seeing you made me want to catch up with your blog:). Love this. Seems like you found the right guy. Makes all the difference. I’ve seen good and bad with shared living, and usually the bad has been when the roomate didn’t know the person well or when there wasn’t family oversight. Yay for Nat!!
