I take Ben camping every year. We’ve been going since he was 1.
He loves the nights of sitting around the campfire. We have about 15+ in our group, and Ben fights sleep to sit with us as long as possible.
Best part of our year.

Lovely idea Susan! Jeff and I have contemplated doing this, but have been afraid we’d hurt ourselves as we are not the handiest of people! We may have to reconsider. Enjoy and thanks for sharing!

Greetings:
I am reaching out here because emailing you through the little icon is a multi step process. I hope you see this because I do not participate in social media.
Have you written anything recently about choosing a guardian for your son after you and husband are no longer able? Is the guardian your other sons? Do you have any practical suggestions for people whose autism children have no siblings or other family available or willing to take on this role?
Is there a national level picture or is it highly fragmented by states?
Can you please share what you have written, or write something?
Thank you in advance,
SS

Hi! I have written a few books. My latest is “Autism Adulthood: Insights and Creative Strategies for a Fulfilling Life” (Skyhorse, 2018). I also recommend looking at the website: Person Centered Planning with Cheryl Ryan Chan. Cheryl could help you a lot with this.
