Nat’s Keys to the Universe

Nat has not told me in so many words, but judging by what makes him smile the most, here is a list of what I believe are what Nat would say are his Keys to the Universe:

1) Eating a meal with my family all together at the same time
2) Salt and pepper by my side
3) Sun
4) My yellow tee shirts
5) A good bit of word play (“Aunt John and Uncle Laura”)
6) My wetsuit in the cold ocean at Cape Cod
7) Sneaking a thumbsuck
8) The Beatles
9) Fudge
10) Special Olympics Swim Races, especially winning a medal

Those ALL sound good, especially the salt and pepper by one’s side. Crucial. As for winning a medal at the Special Olympics, I’ve never had the honor, but I can only imagine.

My Deegees (he turns 3 next week) top ten..(of course this is just a guess)
1) a good scroll across the bottom of the tv
2)getting a hold of someones cell phone
3)McDonalds french fries
4)chewing on a baby wipe
5)lining up chewed on baby wipes
6)playing with dads hair
7)organizing the recycling bin
8)any activity involving Thomas
9)going for a car ride
10)snuggling in between mom and dad in their big bed
